Supporting the Fight Against Infectious Disease in Africa

November 10, 2008 -- For the fourth consecutive year, human capital procurement leader ProcureStaff proudly sponsors the Accordia Global Health Foundation’s Celebration of Partnership Gala. The annual event is held to recognize all the people and organizations dedicating time and resources to support the Accordia’s mission—To overcome the burden of infectious diseases by building healthcare capacity and strengthening academic medical institutions in Africa.

This year’s November 13th gala will be co-hosted by Accordia Global Health Foundation Benefactor and retired Pfizer Chairman Henry A. McKinnell, Jr. Ph.D. The event will be held at the New York State Theater in Manhattan’s Lincoln Center. Each year at this event, the foundation confers its Global Health Leadership Award. This year’s honoree will be Doctor Julie Louise Gerberding, the Director of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention. Past recipients of this prestigious award include President William J. Clinton and Dr. Peter Piot, Under Secretary General of the United Nations and Executive Director of UNAIDS.
